Spiritual Readings
This list is a general list of books that are recommended for spiritual reading. It contains many of the classical works on Catholic doctrine and spirituality that any Catholic will find helpful. In addition, it includes works that will be of interest to people who wish to follow the teachings and spirit of St. Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei.
In addition to the particular works included on the list, there are some general categories of works that are recommended for use as spiritual reading:
Scripture
All Magisterial writings: Catechisms, Conciliar documents, Encyclicals, Apostolic Exhortations, etc.
All discourses of the Popes
All writings of the Church Fathers
All writings of St. Josemaria Escriva
All writings of the Prelates of Opus Dei
Bibliography for classes of Institutional Studies
If the list is sorted by Titles, all titles beginning with ""A"" or ""An"" will normally appear in the ""A"" section of the list. Also, those beginning with ""The"" will appear in the ""T"" section.
