CASE STUDY: IS OVER-TRUSTING NEGLIGENT?

A light supper will be served as part of this in-person event in New York City. The location of the event and the case to be studied will be sent to registered participants prior to the event.

“Businesses should be characterized by their capacity to serve the common good of society through the production of useful goods and services. Businesses also perform a social function, creating opportunities for meeting, cooperating and the enhancement of the abilities of the people involved.” (From the Compendium of the social doctrine of the Catholic Church, n. 338).

Please join us as we discuss the principle of subsidiarity and its concrete application in the case: Berkshire Hathaway’s Radical Strategy: Trust. Led by Bettina Alonso, Executive Director of Development of the Archdiocese of New York, we will review relevant ethical principles and proceed to discuss and answer the question: Is over-trusting negligent?

On-site registration is not available. For inquiries, please contact email@murrayhillinstitute.org
