MHI CONNECT: Navigating the Post-Pandemic Workplace

We are happy to welcome Joanne Hvala as our guest speaker for the first MHI CONNECT session. As we approach the next few months, changes are coming fast and furious to many aspects of our lives.  Joanne will initiate a discussion of strategies to face the challenges of changing workplaces, career opportunities, and daily living.  

Joanne Hvala is an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College, where she teaches business communications to international students. Her professional experience is in marketing and communications for both high-technology companies and higher education institutions. She held senior-level positions at GE, Loral Corporation, Lockheed Martin, and Sony Corp., before joining NYU Stern School of Business in 2000 to lead its Public Affairs Department. In 2016, she joined Columbia University’s School of Engineering where she led the communications team through 2019.  Joanne was one of the speakers our 2016 leadership conference; ReInvention, ReTooling, RePurposing: Leading Your Career in a World of Change and is one of our valued MHI mentors.
