An afternoon-long seminar for young professional women. Learn the basics of entertaining before the busy holiday season gets underway.
Making hors d’oeuvres: An in-kitchen demonstration with lots of hands-on time will show you how to make and present a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres. Each participant will enjoy a generous taste of every appetizer and leave with all recipes used in the session.
Wines and beverages: Wine expert or not, everyone can confidently choose a wine that complements her menu if she knows the basics. The presentation will cover a range of topics: matching wines with foods; the order in which wines are served; the kinds, shapes, and sizes of wine glasses; knowing the bottle shapes associated with special regions. Each participant will have a chance to taste and contrast different wines.
$30 per person through October 15.
$40 per person after October 15.
